Multimodal discontinuous reaction in Ni-Fe-Cr-Al alloy

چکیده

Ni-Fe-Cr-Al alloy has been subjected to 2 hours aging treatment between 600-900°C, which influenced the mechanical properties and resulted in discontinuous precipitation at grain boundaries. In this study, SEM, TEM STEM-EDXS were applied explore relationship occurring boundary phenomena behavior. Within zone, three different phases recognized, namely ? solid solution with lamellar M23C6 carbides elongated ?’ precipitates reaction front. Coherency of was identified as they have shown a cube-on-cube orientation relationship. Furthermore, development multiple reactions discussed.
